Demonstrating how valuable the European Empire is, the German finance minister recently
doled out 16,000 fortune cookies containing stirring pro-EU slogans that would have made a Soviet Commissar proud.
The cookies cost €4,000. That's €4 a cookie or £3.53 in real money.

Err Dave, much as I admire most of your posts, your math is kinda screwy on this one, works out to 0.25 euros per cookie.
Still 0.2499999999 euros too much me thinks ;-)
Gah! Fact checkers! Now I know how Dan Rather feels.
Seriously, thanks for catching that.
