What does this remind me of?  Oh,  yes.

Schools are prisons and they are intended to be that way.

The primary function of a schoolhouse is not to teach. It is to lock the kids up under the surveying eye of the ward.. teacher where s/he can watch them and keep them under control.

Back in the old days, children used to work at fields, workshops and business and learnt the trade and profession by experience. The work life of today has no need for immature children and youngsters - rather, they would be a nuisance at office. It is easier to imprison them and call it "school" and hope they'd learn something.

There is nothing wrong on designing a schoolhouse like Panopticon. They actually ought to be designed that way. Schools are prisons and they should reflect that fact. If there is anything to learn at school, it can be learnt by one's own way.

I just thought it looked like a layer cake.

I don't think buildings should look like food. Anymore than I think we should run engines on food.

The one is silly, the other is bats**t f**king insane.

Oh, right, I forgot- our "leaders" fall into the latter category.

Which probably explains both ethanol subsidies, and buildings like this.

cheers
