If you've seen the Futuro house on Tales of Future Past and wondered what it's like to live in one, here's your chance. There's one in Wisconsin that's for rent staring at $425 per week.
Actually Futuro isn't really that bad. Its biggest problem is that it is just plain strange - too weird for most people's taste. Likewise, the Oil Crisis 1973 messed the production up for good as it tripled the price of the plastic.
I remember one of these as a roadside cafe when I was a child. As a curiosity the Swedish Army has used Futuro as coastal artillery observation posts. More of futuro here
The molds of Futuro are still in existence and working condition. I personally would re-design the interior and use less plastics and more wood panels, though.

And some soundproofing. I can imagine how hard it would be to have a private conversation in there!
The moulds still exist, where are they located? The moulds from Canada, or the moulds in US? Where could we make more inquiries?
