As an indicator of how things are going on the Dark Continent, white South African farmers faced with land confiscation and an escalating murder rate are seriously considering an invitation to move to Georgia.
As the saying goes, what's the difference between South Africa and Zimbabwe? Ten years.

Hm, that Georgia. In this case, having one of them called "Gruzia" aids clarity. (The Russians inwinted it.) Giving up the Boer independence for a piece of place that could be re-collectivized on a week's notice, and moving from a place that's spiraling into Zimbabwe territory to one that's had its own interesting times, lately and historically. I could see looking at land in Australia, if I were in their place, or the US, but not Georgia. Maybe it's just because I've decided that Russia is the kind of place that's best to be far away from.
This is the kind of thing I thought Mandela tried to prevent. What happened?
