I ran into something like this once (the situation, not the car). I was working for a client company that was so broke you literally couldn't get a paperclip and one day the boss drove up in a brand new Jag.That was the signal to bail before the cops came to seize the computers.

The thought that the head of a charitable organization would have a Maserati and not drive it himself is just criminal.
Seriously though, I'm surprised that so many are surprised at the behavior, unless it's the Claude Rains brand of shock
