Belgium, man! Belgium!

Nigel Farage, leader of the UKIP, makes a subtle reference to his contempt for the EU President.

I particularly like his calling Belgium a non-country. It may seem a bit harsh, but what can you expect of a nation where (no joke) back in the '80s one party wanted to abolish the Belgian armed forces and replace them with an answering machine with the message "We surrender"?

"You can't do that! What happens if there's a war?"

"Same thing that happens every time; we lose. But at least it'll be on the cheap."

That's epic.

I can't imagine any American politician being willing or able to pull off something like that. None of our guys know how to speak in public at all. It's always "Memorized phrase!" pause to look at notes, "Another phrase!" pause to look at notes, bravely looks up at camera "Final phrase!"

That was truly inspired.

By the way, any truth to the rumor that the Belgians are building schnitzel stands along the sides of major roads? You know, so they can at least make a few bucks next time?
