Update: I hope the West hasn't already made the choice. After all, not even the Romans at their worst turned restaurant bathrooms into BYO* brothels.

This is possibly the reason so many school systems are doing away with history lessons.
I can hear some kid reading about the fall of Rome and saying, "hey, wasn't this on the news last night?"
I know, I know, a kid in a government school, reading, watching news, news that reports the dangers of decline, commenting in understandable words; I live in fantasy land.
