Presidential Priorities

Mr Barack Hussein Obama may be making the most spectacular nosedive in American presidential history, but at least the press is focusing on the important issues, such as the fact that the President hasn't smoked in the White House or that he's had to get away from the place after only two weeks.

Also: As I've always said of previous office holders as well, if you want to keep your job, being president means you really shouldn't say you're sorry. Look what happened to Commander Adama.

That's one thing you wouldn't be able to catch Bill Clinton doing.
I remember when he "took responsibility" for the Waco raid and that same day Janet Reno said the same thing, so Bill immediately said "yep, it was all her!"
If Obama keeps up this course he'll be on the fast track for Jimmy Carter-style disaster

To be fair, Billy-Bob Clinton had things to do in the Oval Office. Things involving cigars and blue dresses, granted, but things nevertheless.

Ukrainian saying: if it were not my idiot, I'd be laughing too. Well, after Carter there was Reagan. Even Churchill had some guy or other in office before him. What was his name... something that rhymed with "peace in our time", wasn't it?

Honesty is a very complicated thing but all in all, i believe it's better to have a president that's "too" honest rather than the contrary. In the first case, if your very honest people have a tendancy to look down at you, (man this guy is weird, he's too honest, is he dumb) but in the second case if you hide the truth or lie too much, people will have the impression that your taking them for fools. Which is better? I guess there's a lot to be said about honesty. Personally i like a president that has the guts to stand up and say "I screwed up", rather than the kind of president that screws up big time and tells everyone that he made a brilliant decision...

Phaeton was also honest when he wet his tunic and screamed like a little girl. Didn't do the people he burned up any good. Honesty (and not the Chicago Machine kind!) is a good quality in an individual. When you put someone in a a responsible position, I would think that competence should also be kind of high on the list.
