Petrel. Petrel petrel, petrel. "Petrel petrel?" petrel petrel petrel. Petrel, petrel petrel petrel! Petrel petrel.

Seriously, that's a pretty neat thing. I've avoided the fashion of walking around with iPod ear buds in my ears, but having a library of my favorite literature, sci-fi, reference, etc., in a portable form would be neat, especially if IP questions could be worked out so that works that are still in copyright can go on this thing. Won't take the place of reading poetry from thick paper, with good typography and a nicely textured cloth binding, but most things, you can read off of e-paper without hurting the experience.

I was just thinking recently how nice it would be to have all my old books in digital form to free up some space around the house. This could do it, but I would probably still have the books.

For some reason this made me think of that line from "Time Machine" in 1960 when one of the Eloi says; "Books? Yes, we have books"

Can it do comic books?
(Graphic Novels!)

But seriously....
Simulated wood grain finish?
Is it from IKEA?

My library let me check out "Thud!" as a temporary PDF.

A friend of mine always jokes about robot porn. I figured someday someone will make it, but I never would have bet on the naughty librarian theme. Between the music, the lighting, the closeups, the previously noted fake wood paneled set, the rhythmic movement of the phallic scanhead, the trembling book pages at the end... Seriously, I think the director works in the porn industry.
