The article says it is supposed to partially hang in the air for less resistance. If the back end is flying then manual control is all right, but if the front end is flying then you need ailerons and some serious electronic stabilization. Even Chuck Yeager himself couldn't keep those forward-swept wings from flipping upwards or digging into the ground while speeding along the racetrack !
