Future Kitchen

One of the planned sections for Tales of Future Past is on kitchens of the future, so we were excited when the renowned architect Zaha Hadid (no, we've never heard of him either) created the ultimate high-tech kitchen for Dupont and Ernestomeda.

The exquisite Z. Island is equipped with numerous futuristic features such as embedded heating membranes, touch control panels, sound activators and scent dispensers, LED lighting and a multimedia entertainment system, including a flat screen and an Apple Macintosh Mini for serving iTunes.
Call us nitpickers, but we still want to know whether or not it's any good for actually preparing meals.

Looks like something out of a bad 1970's (but I repeat myself) science fiction movie.

Do the designers imagine than anyone would actually want to cook or eat in this sterile lab?
