Another nail

An "expert" wants to ban rugby scrums at schools.

In other news, experts hate rugby, boys, childhood, and all of us in general.

Update: No doubt the "expert" would prefer rugby replaced by something along the lines of this gooey kumbaya moment.

There'll be no need for a scrum in NuRugby, because each player will be issued his or her own ball, which they'll walk carefully across the goal line and exchange for an "I'm a Winner in the Game of Life!" trophy.

C Palmer: And in your world, what happens to all the poor waifs in the stands that have to go without a rugby ball and are incapable of walking carefully or at all.
Do they get branded "Losers in the game of Life?"

Very insensitive of you, you hate monger!!

(Yikes, on some other blog my statements might even pass as non-sarcastic)

I hated rugby as a child. I was no good at it; my incompetence earned me the loathing of the athletic types in our class, and subsequently I spent my lessons ankle-deep in mud and misery. I still hate the sport.

...And they want to take that away from the children? If I had to suffer through it, so should they!
