Gingerism

From Out-Law.com:
Gingerism in the workplace could form the basis of formal grievances or constructive dismissal cases, an employment lawyer has warned. The news comes in the wake of one Newcastle family having to move house because of abuse about its members' red hair.
That's it. Civilisation's kaput. If you want me, I'll be waiting for the apes to take over.

Gingerism? Uh-huh...

God, if you can hear me, now would be a good time for that whole "Last Judgement" thing.

So people are getting tired of being treated as the red-headed step child at work and school?

According to WikiAnswers anti-redhair discrimination is a consequence of the Viking invasions of centuries ago.

Is there anywhere in the world where red hair is considered a positive trait?

I heard that blondes were discriminated against in Europe, probably due to the actions of ancient Vikings.

In the USA, their intelligence is denigrated in jokes.
