Trusting Fools

The new leader of Britain's biggest Muslim organisation is (all together now!) concerned about the impact on the Muslim community of the recent police raid on a suspected chemical weapons laboratory in east London. Dr Muhammad Abdul Bari said,

Trust could be an issue. Trust could break down if things are not clarified as soon as possible.

This is certianly true, but what Dr. Bari is talking about is Muslims trusting the authorities. The idea that the real issue is Muslims showing Britain that we can trust them does not seem to have occured to him.
