Paleo Future looks at the future as reflected by cigarette cards.
It's worth a look if only for the link to an under-appreciated art form. And I'm saying that because I learned electronics from a set.

The "amphibian at work" is noteworthy because it shows an early prototype of what became the LVT-1/2 "Alligator" tracked landing vehicle used in WW II, Korea, and Vietnam. The Alligator could handle any load an LCI or LCV (aka "Higgins boats") could, but could deliver the load inland, even through swamps, etc., instead of having to leave it on the beach. (According to a veteran of the Pacific campaign I knew as a boy, it was very handy for delivering 105mm howitzers to exactly where they were needed.)
