New "Routemaster" unveiled


And, amazingly, it looks like a bus.

How did they let this slip by?

I personally love it; I think it looks fantacular. The asymmetry takes a bit to get used to but it's very smart. As long as they try and keep them polished, of course.

True, I am stuck somewhere around the signing of Magna Carta, but this has potential–and it looks like a bus.

Pity about it being eight feet longer and carrying two fewer passengers.

Would you have preferred they cram more passengers into the same length, like some awful budget airline?

Plus it can carry wheelchairs, which is good.

Since they're at the mock up stage, I'm hoping that they'll find some useless bit of frippery that they can dispose of to add a couple more seats.

I agree about the wheelchairs. And if have a baggage area, then top marks.
