What do you get when you turn a 40-year old Soviet V-12 prototype into a flying luxury accommodation? Hotelicopter!
It's five-star opulence set to turbine whines and the incessant whakka-whakka of rotor blades. Not unlike some airport hotels I've stayed in.
Update: Hoax?

David...
What? No mention of "Thunderbirds"?
How about "Death Trap"?
Rotors on outriggers?
That's so the support spar can be stressed one way when parked and the other way in flight?
The turbines on the sides of the fusilage look like afterthoughts.
I think they're having us on for April 1.
It puts me in mind of the Coyote Cyclops 3000, except no bowling alley.
They are claiming a destination in Charleston this summer, you can bet if this bird is real I'll be there to smoke it over
Make sure you stock up on Outhouse Springs water and take along your Medison Celebrity, the Hotelicopter has done been busted out!
Notelicopter
Fun while it lasted...and now I see that David has added the Hoax update. But I can't resist the opportunity to mention Outhouse Springs and Medison!
Happy April Fools day!
