On the other hand, I've heard people who served in the military complain loudly and bitterly about the MREs and other food. I imagine having the French on board will help with that situation. I even understand that French army rations come with large, white cloth napkins!
Then again, without France's fleet & army, the United States would have been stillborn. Remember that Cornwallis tried to surrender to General Rochambeau in order to avoid surrendering to General Washington.

France is rejoining NATO and the Daily Mail illustrates with a shot taken from a Carry On film.
Classy. But at least it's at the usual editorial standard of that particular unofficial red-top tabloid. ¬_¬
