They get the ship, we get the (propeller) shaft

Agence France-Presse reports that Britain is approaching France with the idea of sharing the new carriers with them. Given how hard it is to get hedge trimmers back, I can imagine the scene in Whitehall if Argentina makes another grab for the Falklands while it's Paris's turn with the hulls. Can't we do something more sensible like sharing the dole recipients or the NHS bureaucracy with the Frenchies?

Somewhere, the shade of Cochrane is doing a spit take.
