Eye to Eye

Videophones have come a long way since the false-dawn of the Bell Picturephone, yet even with the most advanced webcam-in-monitor designs you are still faced with the fact that since the camera isn't mounted in the screen it's impossible to make eye-contact with the other party .

The good news is that the Eye-Catcher Videophone solves this problem by projecting the screen image onto a two-way mirror behind which is the camera, so you don't come off looking as though you're reading the fine print on the fire extinguisher while the other person is talking.

The bad news is that the unit will set you back £7,499.99.
