I read the article and perhaps my lack of interest in the topic kept me from finding it, but is the Turner Prize funded by the state? If not, I'm all for it, that's some money some idiot has parted with willingly, but if it is done at the expense of the taxpayers to give money to commercially non-viable "artists" then it's an outrage.
