Yet another charming thing about wind generators is, there has to be a lot of them. And they're big, therefor full of stresses. And they're relatively high-tech, so they break. Keeps the Windmill Repairmen's Union happy, I guess.
(And what's keeping us from building regular generating stations, and fueling them by burning polar bears, again?)
There's something about that thick acrid smoke billowing away from that "green" turbine that just makes me warm all over. Green of course is just another way of saying "overpriced" and "non-functioning".

(Don't count subsidies or carbon credits.)
