Two Royal Navy warships have been on active duty for nearly seven months without their primary armament aboard in a "cost-cutting measure".

This is the reason why I support the Royal Navy being completely refitted with nuclear-powered ships armed with the latest in laser and particle beam weaponry–so the b******s at the MoD can't leave them dead in the water by skimping on fuel and ammunition.
