There have been a series of bombings in Bombay (I refuse to use "Mumbai" any more than France will stop using "Londres") that have left dozens of rail commuters dead. No group has claimed responsibility, but since it comes hard on the heels of a Jihadist grenade attack Sringar, it looks as though the Islamofascists are stirring in India again.
Following.
Update: At least 100 dead and 300 injured. Six or seven bombs hitting moving trains were reported.
Update: Death toll is at 131.
Update: Eight bombs. 147 dead.
Update: Reuters has a chronology of major attacks in India since 2001, but for some inexplicable reason any identification of the "militants," such as ideology, religion, or affiliations to known terrorist groups (not to mention the word "terrorists") seems oddly lacking.
Update: The Times of India identifies the bombers as members of Lashkar-e-Toiba and the Students Islamic Movement-- Jihadists all.
Update: 183 dead.
