The Valley of Gwangi

  1. Not to be confused with "The Valley of the Ganji"

  2. Cowboys and dinosaurs. That there's some good stuff. Now, why couldn't the movie Cowboys and Aliens have been even half as good? As it is, that title can't be used for 20 years or so. What a loss!

  3. Sergej;

    If you liked "Gwangi" (I do, too!), check out "The Beast of Hollow Mountain" (1956). Like "Gwangi", it was based on a story by Willis O'Brien.

    The film's dinosaur animation was done by Jack Rabin and Louis DeWitt, who did "Kronos" (1957), using the rare sequential-statuette technique for their stop-motion work. I've seen it, and the results are very realistic.

    cheers
