Obamadollars

The One on the one dollar note–and the designers are serious!

If these ever get printed, find a wheelbarrow because you'll need to fill one to buy a loaf of bread.

  1. I bet the designers cringed a little when they put the 2nd Amendment on their $10 bill.

I suppose the Roosevelt bill is appropriate since that was the beginning of the end for us here.

Also like Big O's Elvis sneer, pretty much shows his contempt for all of us proles.

At least they left a big blank space on all of them to overprint values when the inflation hits, it was such a mess to read the Deutsches Reich stamps when they overprinted them in the 30s.

These make the "Amero" from a couple years back look acceptable.

Ok, I'm done. Disgusted, but done.

  2. To say that these could easily be counterfeited would be an understatement. A color copier would be all that would be necessary.

Also, I believe it is illegal to portray a living person on U.S. currency. A law which no doubt offends no end those who swoon over The One.

On the plus side, these would be cheaper to print than Monopoly money. Since Paul Krugman, et al., are urging Obama to emulate Weimar Germany and "monetize" the debt they've incurred by running the printing presses nonstop, at least it wouldn't cost as much to do so. Exactly what the PRC will think, or how they will react, when bales of these show up as repayment on the loans, I leave as an exercise for the reader.

    cheers (more or less)

  3. What?
No machine readable stripes or dots?
Maybe there's a RFID or memory in each.
    A high-tech wheresgeorge.com?

Too bad the technology isn't available
for 'Tricky Dick Fun Bills' whose
denomination decreases as it is spent.

Like a debit card made of 'smart paper'.
