The Russian Duma passes a drunk driving law 449 to 0. This is a pretty impressive vote when you realise that only 88 deputies were present. How did they manage it? By voting very, very quickly.
At least it keeps them fit.

The voice-over says, "One physically active deputy can press nine buttons, while older deputies are responsible for smaller sectors. If one divides the number of votes by the number present, it comes out on average, to one deputy voting for five."
ReplyDeleteI'm a bit surprised at the tone of this report. Dry humor, and presents the clowns in government as, well, clowns. Either journalists in Russia are made partially of brass, or Putin really doesn't care about the Duma or what it says. Some of each, I suppose.
