Swiss Spaghetti Harvest

This was filmed back in 1957; before the introduction of the now-familiar mechanised spaghetti harvesters.

  1. Yes, back in 1957 I suppose Swiss-grown spaghetti would have been the tenderest. These days, due to the All-Pervading Effects of Global Warming, the sweet spot for climate has moved south and downhill, to Italy. Connoisseurs claim to be able to tell the difference, but as far as I'm concerned, if you can taste the noodles, you aren't using enough Tabasco Sauce.

  2. The Swiss spaghetti was the best grown as Sergej says. That Chinese stuff they grow now is too gritty but it's a lot cheaper.

There was that brief period when they tried to grow it in Pennsylvania but today the farming community of Spaghettisburg is just a ghost town
