Earth Hour 2010

Earth Hour:Light a searchlight for sanity.

Tomorrow at 20:30 Zulu Time is Earth Hour, the annual hour when worshipers of Blessed Gaia prissy busy-bodies concerned citizens of the world show their utter divorce from reality self-righteous posturing respect for the environment by turning their lights off for one hour.

Here at Chez Szondy, we will, of course, have so many lights on that the main power lines crossing the valley below will start to glow cherry red.

  1. And we Finns here at the Shrieking Sixties calp our big, hairy hands...

Wonder how many people will today break their legs since it is cold, icy and dark here.

  3. Nice. really nice. A 71 year old man was killed in town of Uusikaupunki because of this insanity. A 17-year-old girl had crashed on him with a motorbike. She hadn't seen him approaching as all road lighting had been turned off. The icy and slippery road caused both to fell. The girl was saved as she wore helmet, but the man died.

The girl had followed the traffic rules and driven according to the speed limit. It was the darkness and the slippery road which was the main contributor on the accident.

Thank you, all you blessed Gaia worshippers. How many human sacrifices does your heathen goddess require to be satisfied?
