Bigotry is equaility


It looks as though our Harriet is at it again with New Labour rigging their candidate selection so that only women will replace retiring MPs.

In fact, it goes deeper than that, with one New Labourite saying,
The reality is that we can only be really confident of holding seats with a majority of more than 7,000 but the suspicion is growing that Harriet is making very sure they are being marked for all-women shortlists.
It seems that Mrs Harman may not be comfortable with an all-male government, but she seems very happy with an all-female one.

I'd take some comfort in the knowledge that New Labour has as much chance of surviving the next election as Graham Norton at a Taleban picnic, but the Conservatives aren't that far behind in getting rid of that pesky democracy thing by confusing bigotry with equality.

    In the 'Back to the Future' future, all the police were female, presumeably so that testosterone would not interfere with police procedure.

    Maybe this isn't entirely a bad idea.
