Like the late, unlamented USSR, Red China is an empire pretending to be a country. The writer calls this a "closely held secret", though I've been banging my spoon about this fact for thirty years.

2. Stay on topic. A bit of straying and off-hand commenting is okay, but hijacking the discussion is right out.
3. No ad hominem attacks. Attack the subject, not the other person on the thread and keep the discussion civil.
4. No spamming or commercial endorsements. These get deleted immediately.
Tip: Beware of putting hyperlinks in your comments–especially at the end. For some reason, Blogger interprets these as spam.

Yes, they're an empire, and they're commies. This much is obvious. (Maybe not to the dude writing the article.) And lately, they've been developing technology for fighting a war at sea, against a US-sized power. I used to think that China is busy doing the colonialism thing in Africa, and that's that, but they seem to be looking at controlling the waters between Asia and Africa at least, and who knows what at most?
