Rules for submitting comments:
1. No profanity. I maintain the pretense that this is a family-friendly site.
2. Stay on topic. A bit of straying and off-hand commenting is okay, but hijacking the discussion is right out.
3. No ad hominem attacks. Attack the subject, not the other person on the thread and keep the discussion civil.
4. No spamming or commercial endorsements. These get deleted immediately.
Tip: Beware of putting hyperlinks in your comments–especially at the end. For some reason, Blogger interprets these as spam.
Note: Due to the recent spate of anonymous spamming, registration for comments is now required.
If the last place I lived that had a nationalized automotive industry is any indication, we are all going to have a chance to learn backyard mechanicking. American Moskvich: 0--60 in a day (if you can find the spare parts)!
ReplyDeleteThat Yugo crash at 2:48 was deliberate! If a ham-fisted cowboy can't master those 1000 lb of fine-tuned low consumption agility, who is to blame for him smashing through the delicate framework and engine ?
ReplyDeleteI know who he will blame.
I wouldn't be writing like this if there was a single car factory today here where I live. But what makes me furious is our domestic journalists deriding the Yugo while writing about foreign cars for German-owned car magazines. Sure, it sucks as opposed to...a non-existent economy??
Out comes fresh fruit & bankrupt companies, in comes more fresh fruit, cars and 40 000 000 000 dollars of foreign debt.
Please forgive me folks if I complain.
