The Bishop of Rochester is announcing that he is retiring ten years early to concentrate on helping Christians persecuted in Muslim countries and elsewhere.While this is a laudable mission, I can't help but be disappointed, as his grace was a far better candidate for Canterbury than that bearded platypus that wears the mitre now.
