Is There a Little Bit of Obama In You?

This is where the Obama worshiping gets creepy.

  1. This is where Obama worshiping gets creepy? Me, I've been more crept-out than if I were watching a room full of snakes, rodents and large hairy spiders, for the last several months. (So then I turned off CSpan.)

  2. You know, if those half-masks had been out during the campaign there would have been cries of racism somehow.

  3. I wonder how people would interpret the symbolism of a half Obama, half Guy Fawkes mask...

  5. Aha. Sergej, I may be able to help you there. The Fawkes mask is one of the main identifiers of Anonymous, the internet-based protest group. Pic here: http://blogs.villagevoice.com/runninscared/guy.jpg

  6. Ah, thank you Wunderbear. Last time I saw the Guy Fawkes mask was in "V for Vendetta", and it seems that the Anonymous group refers to that, putting me one iteration behind the times. Story of my life...

  7. Sergej, I was just thinking of Fawkes' reputation as an anarchist, and his attempt to destroy Parliament. "Obama the Destroyer" would be one interpretation. "Obama the Reformer" might be another. Hence my query as to how people might interpret such a juxtaposition.
