Freedom Is So Old Fashioned

Rules for submitting comments:
1. No profanity. I maintain the pretense that this is a family-friendly site.
2. Stay on topic. A bit of straying and off-hand commenting is okay, but hijacking the discussion is right out.
3. No ad hominem attacks. Attack the subject, not the other person on the thread and keep the discussion civil.
4. No spamming or commercial endorsements. These get deleted immediately.
Tip: Beware of putting hyperlinks in your comments–especially at the end. For some reason, Blogger interprets these as spam.
Note: Due to the recent spate of anonymous spamming, registration for comments is now required.
I'm sure there's some people in Washington that are not recoiling in horror to this story, instead are salivating at the concept. If only they could get the guns away from those pesky homeowners.
ReplyDeleteThere's not a lot of, from or about Gobbless 'Merica that I like but ... I do harbour (sorry - harbor) a sneaking "gosh, I say" for the spirit of their property laws.
ReplyDeleteIf H.M. Burglar (or H.M. Bailiff) visits during the wee small hours in England it is law that you must make them tea, keep them safe and offer them carnal knowledge of firstborn.
It should be that you can just nail the bastards with a cricket bat and call a freephone 0800 number to have the remains taken away and the walls re-papered. It should also be that a week later a cheque from the public purse arrives in the post along with a telegram of gratitude from the Queen.
Should be.
Ditto for politicians a-canvassing but in their case the bodies should be put on public display.
