Right Purchase, Wrong Budget

    On the one hand, I agree that Britain needs to revitalize her Navy. On the other hand, against whom will these ships be deployed? There is no current naval threat that Britain is likely to have to face in the foreseeable future. No 'aquatic jihad' in the offing.

    Regardless, I'd rather see Her Majesty's Government spending their subjects money on the military than on the Welfare State or the BBC. Pity that's unlikely to happen:-(.
