Roald Dahl, Call Your Service

From The Telegraph:
'Willy Wonka' faces closure threat from Chavez
Oompa Loompas writing appropriate lyrics for when Mr. Chavez is savaged by a taffy pulling machine.

  1. It's a shame that little tin pot despots like Chavez wait until an industry or business is formed and made successful before they decide to nationalize it in the name of the "people".
Funny that the only thing Chavez has ever created is the authority to take things from people and companies to feather his own filthy nest.

  2. USSR, where I had the joy of being born (I got better---as in, as soon as it became possible, my family left), was nationalizing industries and collectivizing farms since day 1. Naturally, you only want to take the successful industries. For the good of the people, of course. So anyway, no, the commie toad didn't invent this either.

Speaking of Oompa-Loompas, you would not believe where Slurm comes from! It's pretty gross. (But highly addictive!)

  3. Is the idea that the crop go nowhere rather than be exported for cash?

Is his hero Castro or Mugabe?

  4. JSL, bingo!
Rhodesia used to be a profitable exporter of chromium, now it's a sad welfare state...I mean Marxist utopia.
