The Archbishop of Canterbury is acting all surprised that his statements that the adoption of sharia in Britain is "unavoidable" have resulted in calls inside and out of the church for his resignation. His Grace, in a fit of pure brass, claims that he just wanted to "provoke discussion".
He certainly did that, though I don't think he imagined that it would be about his employment status. Maybe now he has a better understanding of "unavoidable".
Update: Has the
Archbishop gone bonkers?
