A quote from an editorial in the
Seattle Post-Intelligencer (intelligent as a post) declaring that Israel hasn't a hope of defeating Hezbollah and should leave Lebanon now. Why? Simple:
Can Hezbollah (or any terrorist organization) be defeated on a military field by a foreign power? We doubt that proposition; the best hope is a strong, effective local government.
It's a reasonable point, but what is interesting is what the PI argues is, in fact, the Coalition strategy in Iraq, which the paper has
opposed for over three years!
