Lying Liars

1 comment:

  1. Or, of course, our betters may believe that we "can't handle the truth", as Jack Nicholson said in "A Few Good Men".

(Coincidentally written by Aaron Sorkin, of "West Wing" fame.)

I don't always assume a politician is lying. But what worries me more is when one says something that is patent nonsense, but obviously believes it.

A liar can be dealt with. A delusional ideologue is another matter entirely. It is very difficult to cure stupid.

    cheers
