Better one or two?

And from a year from now.

  1. Sullivan, a supposed "conservative", proclaims loudly that everything The One has done has been a stupendous success- or at least will be, if we give him another term to finish his re-creation of the world.

This is rather like saying that a pyramid scheme will be a cornucopia of riches for even the lowest rungs on the ladder if we all just hang in there.

Like a pyramid racket's perpetrators, this lot are running headlong into Thatcher's Law, i.e. they have just about run out of other people's money to spend on their dreams, but they're not about to let reality get a word in edgewise.

The throttle is all the way forward on the locomotive. And that red-and-yellow "End Of Track" sign is getting closer every second.

    cheers

We've heard that song before with a certain Anthony "Tony" Blair and look how that worked out. And Mr Blair, for all his smarmy sliminess, was at least intelligent and well read.
