Britain defenceless

Thanks to the insane budget cuts inflicted on the Royal Navy by Mr David Cameron's illegal junta, there is no longer a warship available to defend Britain's coasts.

We are right in it.

  1. Well, the good news is that Viking drakkkars and/or Muslim xebecs are no longer plying the coast looking for villages to raid.

The bad news is that Britain would probably be unable to fight even the Cod War now.

The drawdown is no doubt based on the refrain of "we have no enemies left who can be fought in that way". Disregarding the whopping illogic of the idea that Britain, and/or the civilzed world, have "run out of enemies", the fact that the enemy doesn't have a serious navy now doesn't mean they won't have one in the future.

Even a couple of Kilo-class diesel boats in the wrong hands could make things unpleasant for shipping in the Channel. It's not like it hasn't happened before- in 1939, to be exact.

    cheers
