In Japan, the government is telling everybody to bundle up because their electric power grid is badly overtasked this winter due to the reactors they shut down after the tsunami still being offline.
ReplyDeleteAt the same time, NYC just got hit with not only their worst blizzard in a few decades, but the earliest snow since the American Civil War. (Which just happened to coincide with the end of the second Little Ice Age.)
Belgium is farther north than either one.
I'd say the likely outcome should be obvious to anyone with a basic knowledge of meteorology, but I'm quite sure that does not include anyone in the decision-making levels of the Belgian government.
