Speaking truth to (under)power

It curdles milk just to look at it.
The Lord Mayor of Hull recognises that the Nissan Leaf is a load of rubbish and that he'd rather be found dead in a pond filled with shopping trolleys rather than drive the rotten little thing while there's a perfectly good Jag going spare.

The man has gone stark raving sane.

Update: Alternative link.

  1. I recently drove from Southeast OH to Lake Erie and back, a 300+ mile round trip, in a 2012 Dodge Avenger V6 (rental). It took about 5/8 of a 12-gallon tank to do it. I'd have to call that pretty efficient.

I doubt a Nissan Leaf, Toyota Prius, Chevy Volt, etc., could manage it. Let alone with two adult passengers and a boot full of luggage.

    cheers

  2. The Telegraph article seems to have gone missing. Link's fine, there's just nothing there. Even using the search on The Telegraph's site comes back with a link that goes nowhere. I don't know what's going on.
