Both spared?

There's a chance that the Royal Navy will place both Queen Elizabeth class aircraft carriers on active duty instead of mothballing HMS Prince of Wales literally before the paint dries.

Only a chance, but at least there's a glimmer of hope that Her Majesty's government has a room temperature IQ.

  1. I am now keeping my fingers crossed, and "hoping" that The One and Panetta don't ax the F-35 Joint Strike Fighter, which the Fleet Air Arm needs at least as badly as the United States Marine Corps does.

Failing that, the new RN carriers could operate the F/A-18E Super Hornet. Or a navalized Typhoon.

Or Rafale', but let's not go into that.

    cheers

  2. Well all we need now is a government and politicians who realise that we are an island! Britain can survive without a large army but is doomed without a Navy.
