Spring in Oceania

Attention all Outer Party members:  Easter eggs are now "spring spheres".  They have always been "spring spheres".  "Easter eggs" are now thoughtcrime.  Minitru is advised to correct all documents in error.

This is why you couldn't get me to move back to Seattle at gunpoint.

  1. Never mind that strictly speaking, an egg is not any sort of "sphere"; it's a three-dimensional ellipsoid solid lacking restricted triaxial symmetry, being asymmetric on its long axis.

I always knew my 11th-grade plane and solid geometry class would be useful someday.

    cheers

  2. "Sphere" is just a refined way to say "ball". Perhaps the Easter eggs ought to be called are "vernal ovoids"?
