How to fly a Harrier

Great.  Now they tell us!

Update: Farewell.

  1. Let's see, the Harrier is being retired today, the Phantom and Lightning are long gone, and the Typhoon is twenty-five years late. (Design frozen 1985, IOC- sometime in the next ten years. Maybe.)

Which means that the air defense of the UK, is now the responsibility of- Hawks with no radar, armed with Sidewinders. And TIC support is Hawks armed with air-to-ground ordnance. (This handily explains why the Royal Army wanted Apaches so badly.)

Has it occurred to anybody in Cameron's crowd that there are a lot of ex-Soviet strike aircraft in Islamist hands? (I'm sure Labour knows; I'm also sure they are cheering for the Islamists.)

    cheers (with a growl)
