A balanced diet


Lord Summerisle prepares the annual barbecue.

Willis Eschenbach at Watt's Up with That? brings up a point that I've been making for years: People who claim that the answer to world hunger is for everyone to go Vegan are a load of city folk who don't know the first thing about animal husbandry, nutrition, or even basic agriculture.

    I'm not so sure that I agree. The eggs I buy say "made by 100% vegetarian-fed chickens" on the package (I like the pretty brown color). You figure, if one chicken eats one vegetarian during the course of its egg-laying career, that's still a lot of vegetarians. No way you're telling me those things are easy on Mothyr Gaia, what with the hackey sacks and the late-night munchies and the tie-dying.
