    retro-retrospectives it is stated
    television was begun as early as
    it was so that the infrastructure
    to manufacture CRTs would be in
    place to build thousands of Radars
    in time for WWII.

    Also... during the war...
    The TV transmitter was used to
    mislead the Greman bomber
    navigation beams!
