Sejjill-2

Iran tests a Sejjill-2 medium-range surface-to-surface missile.

Nothing to worry about here. Another call for unclenching of fists while negotiating away the missile defence system will take care of it.

  1. But of course, the Iranian government's goals are exactly like our own. And they're only responding to American provocations. Right? Arrogance to the point of solipsism, and it seems to come mostly from the we-should-humbly-take-our-place-as-a-second-rate-power crowd.

If the mullahs are planning to shoot missiles, the civilized world has Arrows and Patriots. I'm expecting nuke 1 to be smuggled into Tel Aviv and "demonstrated", and for pictures of the hairy Persian dwarf standing in front of nuke 2 to come out the next morning. Hello, Europe and Mister Barack America, and $200 oil all around!

Or maybe he wants to provoke a war, the bloodier the better, to attract his Mahdi. In that case, he's forgetting that his army is just good enough to fight Saddam Hussein's to a stalemate. And he isn't stupid, only evil. So I expect a human bomb delivery system. Why spend millions on a missile when you can raise a child to be a jihadnik for the price of ten years of rice and beans? Oh yeh, that evil thing...
